Burnaby Seniors' Resources Society

Healthy Aging Series

Burnaby Seniors’ Resources Society presents the Healthy Aging Series, a program of educational events two to three times a year.  All information sessions are free, open to the public and hosted in the afternoon at Burnaby Community Centres.  Past topics have included:

  • fitness,
  • maintaining health,
  • identity theft prevention,
  • downsizing,
  • representation agreements,
  • and other subjects of interest to seniors.

On October 7, 2009 BSRS hosted its first Healthy Aging Fair at Brentwood Town Centre.  For information about the next Healthy Aging Fair and other events, please check our Upcoming Events.  The Healthy Aging Fair is a friendly and informative event for seniors and their families to learn about services and options available in their community.  Over 25 organizations will showcase products and services for seniors including seniors’ housing providers, home accessibility solutions, and health support services. There will be information available, a fashion show and entertainment throughout the day. The Burnaby Seniors’ Resources Society’s goal is to inspire healthy aging and help seniors live with dignity.

The Newsleader is the print media sponsor for the Healthy Aging Series.  As the official sponsor of the Healthy Aging Series, The Mulberry Retirement Residence provides funding and The City of Burnaby provides space for programming at Community Centres in Burnaby.
